Finding a job that pays well is hard. Finding a job that pays well and challenges your mind and body...

Really hard.

You know the drill. The cycle of sad job after sad job. Under-challenged, underpaid with no room to grow. Clock in, get paid, watch Netflix. It’s easy living and it’s what most of us are doing.

So why are you here?

Maybe because you think there might be something better. Something that challenges you to grow as a person. Something with great pay that can help you save money. Something with a community of fun people you want to be a part of.

There is.

This job isn’t about us, it’s about you.

It’s about you because we don’t plant the trees, you do. We don’t push you beyond your expectations, you do. And we don’t dictate the limits of your personal journey, you do.

This is exactly why it’s probably the hardest job you’ll ever have. Our job is to be the most professional outfit in the industry.

In our camps, you can expect experienced leadership and training to develop the skills you need. Quality contracts and professional business practices to ensure you’re paid well and on time. Industry-leading OH+S to keep you safe mentally and physically. As well as delicious, highly nutritious food, to keep you healthy and strong.

This is what we do, but that's not the only reason why people keep coming back. Our planters return year after year because of the friends and connections they make at our camps. Yeah, we supply the showers, fresh-baked bread and chopper rides, but people like you transform our camps into communities.

We get it. The need for change. The desire for connection and challenge.

We get it because every person at this company started where you did and felt what you are feeling. And we know that choosing to take a job as crazy as this is a bit of a leap.

After 50 years and 1.5 billion trees in the ground, Brinkman is the longest-running, most experienced and most respected reforestation company in the world but our measure for success isn’t numbers on a spreadsheet. We believe that when you build camps and systems that support planters, they’ll find their own path and define their own version of success. We genuinely believe that this is more valuable than any paycheque you’ll ever get.

Here’s to the job that makes me laugh the loudest, and cry the hardest. Wouldn’t trade it for the world.

I grew up with this company; it was arguably more important to my personal development and life skills than University. I used to feel like I was pushing my body to its limits but it lit my soul on fire. It was a seasonal detox from social media and being wrapped up in many things I found didn’t feel important in the backcountry. Formative doesn’t begin to describe the years spent with this company and this heart work.

Regardless of the weather conditions, pouring rain, bugs, bears & other wild life, you are committed to planting trees. Breaking out of your comfort zone and achieving pure resilience to what’s really out there. I am blessed to have this job waiting for me, along with the amazing group of friends that comes with it. I highly recommend this life changing experience to any of you.

If you’ve made it this far, you’re looking for something different and you’re probably thinking that this job is for you.

We’re also guessing you have some ideas. You found that sweet program and are headed back to school. You’re ready for that motorcycle trip through the mountains of North Vietnam. You’re set to launch that business but you just need some start-up cash…

So seriously, fill out an application today. Break the cycle of dead-end work and take a leap. Push yourself. Meet people. Cry. Break down. Recover and break down again. Find out what’s left when you push yourself to the brink, collapse, then get up and do it again day after day, week after week. Because on the other side of the pain, bugs, laughter, sleet, friendship and mud is a you that you might not even recognize.

Trust us, it's worth it.
